I am very grateful to do a job that I love and that has such positive effect on others lives.

What started with a reflexology treatment while I was pregnant with my first child from a relative who was training to be a reflexologist turned into a 30 year + career. One treatment had a profound effect on me and I decided that I had to learn for myself! I am also hypermobile which means that my connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and associated muscles) are prone to tears and ‘pulled muscle’. Self massage helped so practitioner massage training also started at the same time.

Enrolled in both reflexology (Hadfield, Suffolk) and Anatomy physiology and massage (Great Yarmouth College) became a qualified therapist in 1994. CPD (continuing professional development) found me training in different aspects of reflexology, aromatherapy and then Reiki Healing, fitting this around my growing family of eventually 4 children. I love to learn and keep my brain busy doing something. Adult Social Services then called and asked me to work for them which later involved me taking over the Serenity project completely until funding changes ended the program. This involved home visits to service users and their carers , my knowledge from study and practical experience expanded dramatically to include all sorts of disabilities, illness and the extreme stresses of the carer and person they looked after.

Healing has been an interest – my training has included becoming a Reiki master/teacher and level 2 Qigong healing. I meditate daily. Teachers I like are Master Stephen Co (pranic healing) and Art Giser (energetic nlp) both have lots of basic videos online and are worth a look if you would like to learn meditation.

A car crash and injuries (including a brain injury) left me with a painful stiff neck, migraines and very limited turn in my head. NHS, physio and osteopaths could not help – Emmett therapy to the rescue! After my first practitioner training module my head/neck turn was back to 180 and amazed by its benefits I went on through 6 practitioner trainings before competing all 6 advanced level training as well as the additional pelvic care module. Travelling to Coventry, Birmingham, New Maldon and East Grinstead this also included an advanced training with Ross Emmett himself. If I do something I like to excel and be the best that I can be!

My training now includes 2 years advanced massage techniques that are both gentle and powerful. Combined with Emmett Therapy and scar tissue release, these can be provided to people who have limited movement and get them going again. I love a challenge! I have travelled around the country to access training with the best possible teachers.

I currently live in Scratby with husband and pets near the sea working from home. Hobbies include making my own cloths and Qigong. For Qigong I have trained with Master Mantak Chia (Taoist Practices) and Master Gadu Doushin (Spring Forest Qigong).
